In June of last year, a white BMW automobile struck Mabli Cariad Hall, an eight-month-old baby, in her pram outside Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, and she passed away.
Mabli passed away on Sunday, June 25, four days after being taken to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff for treatment. She was then transferred to Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.
On Friday morning, 70-year-old Bridget Curtis showed up at Swansea Crown Court.
She was given unconditional bail by Judge Geraint Walters until her sentencing hearing on November 22.
According to the results of the July opening inquest, Mabli died from serious traumatic brain injuries.
Mabli was “adored” by her parents, Rob and Gwen Hall, and her five siblings, according to their statement of “absolutely heartbroken”.
“She brought [them] so much joy in her short life,” they said.
They expressed their gratitude to the emergency services and the personnel of Bristol Children’s Hospital, the University Hospital of Wales, and Withybush Hospital.
Over £25,000 was raised for the family by a GoFundMe campaign created by friend Sinead Morris in the days following Mabli’s passing.
Mabli’s family is getting assistance from hospital bereavement services and officers, according to Dyfed-Powys Police.
