The renowned musician Madonna recently posted a video and a poignant message on Instagram to honor her daughter Mercy James’ birthday.
The video features a clip of Mercy skillfully playing a tune by Erik Satie on the piano alongside images of her with her mother and brothers.
Along with writing a lengthy caption for her daughter, the 65-year-old singer-songwriter began, “Beautiful Chfifundo James! Today marks your 18th birthday! Lovely Mercy James. You’re a young woman already! Gorgeous African Queen! We were all surprised by you!”
As she proceeded to praise Mercy, calling her “the quiet one,” “gentle,” “Always Humble and Kind,” and “really astounded by the woman you have become,” the proud mother showed her adoration.
