The federal government has made the decision to offer flood victims significant electricity bill relief in addition to a special farmers’ package to make up for losses to livestock and crops brought on by recent floods.
The government is aiming to remove a number of fees for households affected by the flood, according to Federal Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain.
The elimination of the FC surcharge, general sales tax, and fixed power bill fees, as well as plans to eliminate income tax, additional and surplus taxes, retailer sales tax, and fuel price adjustment taxes, are some examples of these policies.
Additionally, the minister underlined that the provincial government will waive land revenue and that additional electricity bills that have already been issued in flood-affected districts will receive special attention.
