According to PTI Secretary General Omar Ayub Khan on Thursday, Sher Afzal Marwat, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has been banished from both the party’s political and core committees, per Imran Khan’s orders.
The event transpired just one day after vocal Marwat openly criticized the PTI’s top officials and declared his refusal to collaborate with them.
Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi on Wednesday, Marwat declared, “I refuse to work with Shibli Faraz and Omar Ayub […] they didn’t allow me to meet Imran Khan [in prison].”
Speaking to the media after meeting with the PTI founder who is currently detained in Adiala Jail, the secretary general of the party stated that Imran Khan instructed him to send Marwat a show-cause notice because he was trying to “spoil” relations with Saudi Arabia.
