Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), criticized the government, the results of the 2024 national elections, lawmakers, bureaucracy, and the establishment on Monday in his maiden speech on the National Assembly’s floor.
During a speech on the assembly floor today, Maulana Fazl stated, “Neither bureaucracy nor establishment has a role in the creation of the country.” She added that although Pakistan was created through democratic struggle and sacrifice, it stood nowhere in terms of political and economic stability.
“Is this a parliament of representatives of the nation or a setup arranged by the establishment?” he asked, criticizing the ruling parties.
