RAWALPINDI: Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim emphasized the importance of enhancing bilateral ties, particularly military connections between Pakistan and Malaysia, in a meeting with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir.
According to the military’s media wing on Friday, the dignitaries talked about regional security, defense cooperation, and bilateral strategic objectives during their meeting.
On a three-day visit, PM Ibrahim arrived in Islamabad on Wednesday with a delegation of high ranking officials. He had important talks with President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, during which they talked about a variety of bilateral, regional, and global topics of shared interest.
Prime Minister Ibrahim, meantime, was hailed by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) for the Pakistan Armed Forces’ contribution to regional peace and security.
