The absence of effort from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appears to be taking their place in the spotlight.
Comedian Jo Koy made fun of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex during the Golden Globes, but they seem to be relevant till their fame fades.
“How wonderful was Imelda Staunton in The Crown, wasn’t she amazing?” Mr. Koy remarked during the ceremony. Prince Harry contacted her and asked for money because of how excellent she was in the role of the Queen, he said. Jo continued, acknowledging the crude joke, “As I already stated, I didn’t write all of these! I didn’t own that one! Even with Netflix, Prince Harry and Meghan will continue to receive millions of cash for doing nothing at all.”
PR specialist Ryan Mcormick discusses the joke with Mirror.co.uk, saying, “The fact that Jo Koy felt compelled to bring them up means that in his eyes the ex-royals are still relevant.”
Ryan went on, “If Meghan and Harry are attempting to become a formidable force in Hollywood, they’re currently setting an example for how not to do it in terms of public relations. Like other sectors, Tinseltown is drawn to those who can offer both financial worth and reputation.
“Today, they would be in a far better place if the two had just generated additional content (TV series, or even brought back their podcast) that either entertained or helped others financially. It’s not even necessary for Meghan and Harry to show up in programming that is exclusively about them. They are able to provide financial support to make well-known films and serve as advisers for several media projects.”
