On Thursday, Miftah Ismail, a former member of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), announced the inauguration date of Awaam Pakistan (AP), a new political party that he would convene with former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.
Speaking over the phone with News, the former finance minister declared that Abbasi will serve as the organization’s first convener when Awaam Pakistan launches the following month. On July 6, there will be an AP launch event in Islamabad.
Providing insight into the new party’s platform, the politician stated that the country’s entire structure of governance had to be changed, with the people serving as the primary decision-making sources.
In reference to the presence of influential politicians, he disclosed that his party has communicated with numerous lawmakers nationwide.
