RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir expressed concerns on Tuesday about the malicious propaganda against the armed forces during the 264th Corps Commanders’ Conference. He pledged to take decisive action against those attempting to create a rift between the country and the security forces by making unsubstantiated and baseless accusations.
The conference honored the valiant efforts made by martyrs, including members of the military forces, law enforcement agencies (LEAs), and civilians who gave their lives to maintain security and peace in the nation.
“Baseless and unfounded accusations against law enforcement and security forces have become commonplace and are a part of a larger scheme to create a rift between the people and the Pakistani Armed Forces,” the forum stated.
“Strong action will be ensured in accordance with the law and constitution, and we will not allow such efforts to succeed,” the forum declared.
The top brass of the army reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the government in every way possible to achieve sustainable socioeconomic growth in the nation. This includes offering unwavering support in combating illegal activities, especially smuggling, hoarding, electricity theft, and the safe repatriation of all illegal foreigners.
