A police official filed a complaint, and the Secretariat police station opened a case under the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) and various provisions of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
The FIR was filed in accordance with sections 395 (punishment for dacoity), 148 (rioting armed with deadly weapon), 149 (every member of an unlawful assembly guilty of an offense committed in prosecution of a common object), 186 (obstructing a public servant in the discharge of their duties), and 11-W (printing, publishing, or disseminating any material to incite hatred or giving projection to any person convicted of a terrorist act or any proscribed organization or an organization placed under observation or anyone concerned in terrorism).Apart from Section 2/3 of the Amplifier Act, there are additional provisions for disobedience to orders duly promulgated by public servants (188), assault or criminal force to deter public servants from performing their duties (353), punishment for wrongful restraint (341), punishment for wrongful confinement (342), and mischief causing damage up to fifty rupees (427).
