The majority of the football team’s players, including England forward Marcus Rashford, who has struggled with form this season, are reportedly open to bids.
In February, a deal to acquire a 27.7% share in the club was finalized by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the billionaire owner of the INEOS group. He assumed management of Old Trafford’s football operations from the American Glazer family as part of the agreement.
According to newspaper sources, INEOS and Sir Jim, a United supporter, aim to assemble a new “winning team” with Mainoo, Garnacho, and Hojlund. They also plan to recruit a central defender, a midfielder, and a striker during the summer transfer window.
However, the team’s chances of making it into Europe’s premier club football competition, the Champions League, next season are slim, which will have a negative impact on the club’s revenue, purchasing power, and player attraction.
