Pakistan’s Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM-P) On Tuesday, Senator Faisal Subzwari declared that his party would resign from the federal government if the port city’s residents are still killed in the midst of an increase in street crimes in Karachi.
The MQM-P senator bemoaned the 15 years of the Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) dominance over the province, stating that if these deaths were occurring elsewhere, requests for an operation would have been made.
Speaking to media in Karachi, he declared, “We will leave the government if our people continue to be killed.”
For the past few weeks, hundreds of residents in Karachi have lost their lives as a result of street crimes committed by criminals.
Numerous people have lost their lives thwarting robberies and kidnappings, especially during the month of Ramadan when it seems like criminals are more relaxed.
Due to street crimes, at least fifty people have died between January and March. In the meantime, 75 police engagements have resulted in the deaths of six thieves, while 93 suspects were arrested with injuries.
