Multan Sultans defeated Peshawar Zalmi convincingly in the first qualifying match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9, securing a spot in the final.
The match was played at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi, with Peshawar Zalmi winning the toss and choosing to bat first. They scored 146 runs in their allocated 20 overs, losing seven wickets.
Multan Sultans responded by easily chasing down the 147-run mark in just 18.3 overs. Yasir Khan contributed significantly to the Sultans’ win, scoring 54 runs, including a six and seven fours.
Multan Sultans won comfortably with to contributions from Usman Khan (36*), Iftikhar Ahmed (22), and captain Muhammad Rizwan (15).
