According to federal officials, a shooting at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) field office in Dallas on Wednesday left one person dead and several others injured. The shooter died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
According to local media, the gunshot at the office in northwest Dallas was reported to police at around 7:30 a.m. local time.
In an X post, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem stated that the shooter was deceased and that numerous others were injured and killed.
“The relentless assault on law enforcement, especially ICE, needs to end. In response to Noem, US Vice President JD Vance posted on X, “I’m praying for everyone hurt in this attack and for their families.”
