After defeating Tanzania by a resounding 63 runs in the first semi-final of the Africa Region Final on Thursday at Harare Sports Club, Namibia qualified for the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
Tanzania lost the toss and chose to field first, however they were unable to contain Namibia’s batting lineup. JJ Smit, who also contributed with the ball to win Player of the Match, guided the Namibians to an undefeated 61 off 43 balls as they achieved a competitive total of 174 for six from their 20 overs.
