Former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry stated on Saturday that since Nawaz Sharif, not Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, is in charge of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), “better talks” may be held with him.
At a district court in Islamabad, Fawad told the reporters, “Shahbaz has nothing, Nawaz can play a role in improving the country’s political environment.”
The former minister said, “Better talks can be held with Nawez because he leads the PML-N.”
In response to a query about negotiations with the PML-N, the former minister said, “Better talks can be held with Nawaz because he leads the PML-N.”

Fawad’s comments coincide with the likelihood that the three-time former prime minister will recapture the leadership of the PML-N during the party’s general council meeting on May 28.
PML-N Punjab chapter President Rana Sanaullah declared that Nawaz would most likely be reinstated as the party’s president.
In addition, Fawad restated his statements from last month, emphasizing that he never left the party to rejoin it, in response to a question concerning when he would rejoin the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
