On a talk program, comedian Iftikhar Thakur recalls amusing interactions and jokes he told politicians and their responses.
He made special mention of his comical interactions with Chudhry Sarwar and Shehbaz Sharif, which delighted the crowd and caused them to erupt in laughter.
Iftikhar Thakur has had the honor of playing in front of some of Pakistan’s most well-known political figures throughout his career.
Imran Khan, Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif, and the late Pervez Musharraf are a few of these.
The comedian has a unique perspective on these politicians’ capacity for humor because of his interactions with them.
He disclosed that, in contrast to the common perception, the majority of politicians had the ability to accept humor and laugh at themselves.
Iftikhar related a story about a time he was at the studio.
“He looked at me and said, in jest, ‘This guy is also here?'” Iftikhar said.
Then Sohail informed him that he was heading to my show. Then Shehbaz Sharif approached me and inquired about the plot of the performance.
“I can only make fun of you based on the way you look,” I said to him.
“For example, what will you make fun of?” inquired Shahbaz Sharif.
Iftikhar went on: “I told him that his face resembles a wooden hammer. Shehbaz Sharif responded by telling me that I resemble a Chinese rat.
