It’s possible that Neve Campbell and Ghostface may continue to struggle.
Campbell, who created the enduring character of Sidney Prescott in the 1996 film “Scream,” says she would be willing to come back under “the right circumstances” in a seventh entry in the series.
After the 1996 hit, Campbell starred in four more films before announcing her retirement from the well-liked franchise in 2022 because of salary inequality.
“I didn’t do the film at the time because of a statement I made several years ago,” she said to Indiewire on the BAFTA Tea Party red carpet on Saturday. I just felt compelled to speak up because I don’t believe I would have received the same treatment if I had been a man with a 25-year franchise.
