KARACHI: Former prime minister and major figurehead of the recently formed political party Awam Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has stated that fresh elections won’t address the nation’s issues and has encouraged the head of the army, the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP), and political figures to find a solution.
“The nation’s issues cannot be solved by new surveys alone. Speaking to reporters outside an accountability court on Monday, the army chief, the CJP, and lawmakers ought to get together and figure out how to govern the nation.
It should be mentioned that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), the coalition’s political adversaries, have frequently demanded fresh elections.
