There’s a catch, the team manager disclosed. Neymar, the Brazilian soccer player recuperating from a major anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) surgery, will be playing with his Al Hilal teammates in the Saudi Pro League.
The 32-year-old sustained an injury to his left knee after colliding with an opponent during Brazil’s 2-0 loss to Uruguay in the World Cup last year.
Although Neymar hasn’t played since the previous year, his Saudi team earlier this month won the league for an all-time high 19 times.
Jorge Jesus, the Portuguese manager of Al Hilal, stated that the Brazilian might make a comeback in September.
“With an injury like this, the [recovery] time they give Neymar is normally between 10 and 11 months,” the 69-year-old stated.
