Nicole Kidman is looking for comfort and connection as she navigates her divorce from Keith Urban—and she has an unexpected lunch date in mind. The Oscar-winning actress shared with The Hollywood Reporter for their “100 Most Powerful Women in Entertainment” feature that she would love to sit down with singer Lily Allen, who is also going through a highly publicized split.
When asked about her dream lunch companions, Kidman named several celebrities, including Allen, Spike Jonze, Matthieu Blazy, Sandra Bullock, Joey King, and even Pope Leo.
This interest comes at a time when both Kidman and Allen are experiencing significant personal changes. Lily Allen has channeled her breakup into her music. On her recent track Dallas Major, she hints at being in an “open” relationship and mentions a partner who “went astray.” In P–sy Palace, she references someone leading a double life, describing a May 2024 shopping trip with the line, “You bought her a handbag, it wasn’t cheap / I was in London, probably asleep.” Meanwhile, Tennis raises questions about emotional attachment versus casual intimacy.
David Harbour, Allen’s ex, has not publicly commented on their split or the new music.
With Kidman expressing interest in meeting Allen, the two women may soon find a supportive friend who understands exactly what they’re going through—at least over a casual lunch.
