The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted hot and muggy weather for Karachi over the next 24 hours, so brace yourself, city dwellers.
The city’s temperature is predicted to stay in the range of 35° to 36°C due to the 58% humidity levels and an 18 km/h sea wind.
PMD has forecasted that the city will remain partly cloudy despite the rising temperature, with rain expected the following week.
The lowest temperature that was recorded in the past 24 hours was 31°C. The warmest night of July since 2021 was noted to have occurred on July 1st.
According to PMD forecasts, July’s typical temperature will stay around 27.9°C.
Safety measures
Due to the increasing temperatures in Karachi, medical professionals have recommended that residents limit their intake of food and beverages prepared at home and steer clear of eateries outside, as this could lead to stomach issues.
It is recommended that water be brought to a boil before drinking. They emphasized that salt deficit can be avoided by drinking water and using ORS.
In addition, residents have been told not to leave the house needlessly, especially between the hours of 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., in order to shield themselves from direct sunlight.
