Pakistan’s ace spinner Noman Ali has been shortlisted for the ICC Player of the Month Award for October 2025, joining South Africa’s all-rounder Senuran Muthusamy and Afghanistan’s star leg-spinner Rashid Khan.
Ranked third among ICC Men’s Test bowlers, Noman claimed 14 wickets at an average of 23.07, showcasing his consistency on the international stage. In the Lahore Test, he delivered a match-winning performance with figures of 6/112 and 4/79, securing his third 10-wicket haul in Test cricket and leading Pakistan to a 93-run victory. He continued his impact in the Rawalpindi Test, taking four wickets and scoring 17 runs, finishing as the series’ top wicket-taker.
Senuran Muthusamy impressed in South Africa’s drawn Test series against Pakistan. The 31-year-old all-rounder scored 106 runs at an average of 53 and took 11 wickets at 18.36, earning the Player of the Series award. His career-best 11/174 in Lahore and unbeaten 89 in Rawalpindi were the highlights of his outstanding series.
Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan also had a remarkable month, dominating in both ODIs and T20Is against Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. In five T20Is, he picked up nine wickets at an economy of 4.82, including figures of 4/18 against Bangladesh and 3/9 against Zimbabwe. In ODIs, he helped Afghanistan sweep Bangladesh 3-0, taking 11 wickets at an economy of 2.73, with a best performance of 5/17. Rashid also contributed valuable runs down the order, completing a stellar month of cricket.
