The Public and Commercial Services trade union has announced that they will go on a four-day walkout in protest of changes to their working conditions.
More than 300 union members who work at the airport’s terminals 2, 3, 4, and 5 are scheduled to go on strike from April 29 to May 2.
According to the union, some 250 of them will lose their employment at passport control as a result of revised roster plans.
“Our members are angry and disappointed at being forced out of their jobs,” stated PCS General Secretary Fran Heathcote.
“The adjustments will disproportionately affect individuals who are disabled or have caregiving duties, while not everyone will be impacted.
