An important gas and condensate discovery from the Bitrisim East-1 well in Sindh’s Khairpur district has been announced by the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDC).
According to officials, the discovery is anticipated to significantly increase Pakistan’s energy reserves and lessen its dependency on imports.
Specifics of the discovery
The Bitrisim East-1 well will produce about 690 barrels of condensate and 22.5 million cubic feet of gas per day, according to the OGDC spokesperson. The depth of the well’s drilling is 3,800 meters.
The results, which the company verified reflect a significant triumph for Pakistan’s exploration sector, came after drilling activities at the site began on June 30.
