On September 6, which is recognized as Defence Day in Pakistan, two warships, PNS Babar and PNS Hunain, will be formally integrated into the Pakistan Navy’s fleet, according to a statement released by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Tuesday.
President Asif Ali Zardari is scheduled to be the primary guest on the occasion of the vessels’ induction, according to the military’s media wing.
PNS Babar was constructed in Turkiye, while PNS Hunain was created in Romania, according to the statement. These will improve the defense capabilities of the Pakistan Navy even more.
According to the media wing, PNS Babar’s building started on June 4, 2020, and it was inaugurated on August 15, 2021, before being commissioned on September 23, 2023.
