On Monday, as plans were being made to convert an abandoned paint factory into housing, violence broke out.
Irish Prime Minister Simon Harris denounced the violence as “reprehensible” and declared that “no one has the right to burn cars, damage property, or attack members” of the emergency services and security personnel.

“These are illegal acts intended to cause discord and terror.
A number of fires were started, and protesters congregated in the morning, some of them with their faces covered. A digger truck caught fire was depicted in images and videos that were shared on social media on Monday.

As mattresses and bins were placed, officials were attacked with fireworks and bricks, and the violence increased.

The location was cleared of construction workers who were scheduled to start refurbishing the space.

According to Mr. Harris, “a security guard was attacked for merely performing his job.” “He and his family are in my thoughts and I hope he makes a speedy recovery.”

Police attempted to disperse a throng near a temporary anti-immigration camp by using pepper spray.
