PESHAWAR: To discuss ways to end the current disputes between the two countries, Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi and his delegation, led by Commerce Secretary Khurram Agha, met in Kabul.
The summit, which took place in Kabul, concluded with both leaders promising to find solutions to the problems that Pakistan and Afghanistan are facing.
On Monday, the commerce secretary left for a two-day visit to Afghanistan to talk about issues pertaining to trade.
The development coincides with tense relations between the two nations due to terrorist groups, such as the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP), using Afghan territory to launch strikes within Pakistan.
The development of trade and transit connections between the two nations were discussed during the conference.
Furthermore, the provision of services related to the movement of travelers, patients, and traders at the Pakistan-Afghan border was emphasized by both parties.
The goal of the conference, according to a statement from the Afghan Taliban government, was to improve economic, trade, and transportation ties.
