Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called for the formation of an Arab-Islamic task force to combat Israel’s expansionist aspirations and harshly denounced Israel’s attack on Doha on Monday, calling it a dangerous and reckless conduct intended to undermine Middle East peace efforts.
Addressing an emergency Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha, the prime minister said the assault on Qatar was a gross breach of its sovereignty and territorial integrity, underlining that Pakistan stood in full solidarity with its Qatari brothers and sisters.
He claimed that rather than being isolated events, Israel’s actions were a component of a larger hegemonic goal. “The role of peace mediators is always inviolable and sacrosanct — they are the messengers of fragile hope,” the prime minister stated, even during times of conflict.
