ISLAMABAD: On Saturday, the nation commemorated Pakistan Day with a fresh commitment to working hard for the country’s prosperity and stability.
The primary event of the day was a big parade in Islamabad, as contingents from three armed forces and other security forces marched past in a display of military power.
Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu led the flypast, which comprised J-10C and F-7PG fighter jets.
Different planes and helicopters from the Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Air Force, and Army Aviation performed aerobatic feats for the crowd on the Parade Ground, while skydivers from airborne organizations also showcased their abilities.
Later, the procession highlighted the local cultures of the four provinces.
Saudi Defence Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman Al Saud was the guest of honour at today’s event, which also included Chinese and Azerbaijani contingents.
The event was attended by President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and all of the service chiefs.
