RAWALPINDI: Imam Dr. Salah bin Mohammad Al-Budair of Masjid-e-Nabawi met with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir on Friday.
Al-Budair stated in a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) that Pakistan is playing a crucial role in maintaining peace and security in the area and that Pakistan holds an important place in the Muslim world.
While discussing topics of common interest, COAS Munir and Imam Al-Budair expressed satisfaction with the state of relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
The head of the army greeted the dignitary and emphasised that the imam of Masjid-e-Nabawi’s visit to Pakistan is a matter of honour for the nation’s citizens.
The military’s propaganda wing stated that the imam concluded by praying for the harmony, peace, and stability of the Muslim Ummah.
