The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement on Wednesday that Iranian President Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi had “productive discussions” with Pakistan as he wrapped up his three-day official visit to the nation.
“The two sides held productive discussions and agreed to advance bilateral cooperation in multiple domains including in trade, connectivity, energy and people-to-people contacts,” the statement read.
The Iranian president met with President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Senate Chairman Yusuf Raza Gilani, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir, and chief ministers and governors of Sindh and Punjab during his three-day visit.
The chief of state traveled to Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi with a high-ranking entourage and his spouse.
