ISLAMABAD: On Wednesday, Pakistan suggested that members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Contact Group on Afghanistan form a working group of experts to jointly present a workable roadmap with a number of reciprocal actions to advance Afghanistan’s entire range of problems.
Established in 2009 under German sponsorship, the OIC Contact Group on Afghanistan consists of 50 OIC members.
The OIC group also sent a strong message to Afghanistan, calling on the Taliban to remove restrictions on women and girls that are unwarranted, against Islamic values, and against Muslim society’s norms.
