On Tuesday, sources revealed that the federal authorities wanted to involve international organizations in the assessment process. To assess the extent of the damage and the resources needed for recovery, assistance will be requested from a number of international organizations.
The World Bank is keeping a careful eye on the situation in Pakistan in the meantime. According to sources inside the organization, discussions on possible recovery strategies for towns hit by flooding were still going on. A thorough needs evaluation is presently underway.
After the review is over, the results will be used to determine the next course of action. The World Bank has kept a close eye on the current state of affairs.
