According to Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan, Pakistan has urged the Afghan government to take action against terrorist organizations, such as the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), that operate from its territory.
The spokeswoman stated during a weekly briefing that Afghan officials have been consulted on the matter of cross-border terrorism on several occasions. He reiterated that while Pakistan respects Afghanistan’s sovereignty, it does not anticipate that Afghan territory will be utilized against it.
The Global Sumud Flotilla attack by Israel was also denounced by the spokesman. He acknowledged the contribution of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Qatar in negotiating the ceasefire accord and said that former Senator Mushtaq Ahmed had been freed from Israeli prison.
