With a warning that inaction would be viewed as “hostile” behavior, Pakistan has urged the Afghan government to sever its connections with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and fulfill its pledge to eradicate the group from Afghan territory.
Through the Afghan interim ambassador in Pakistan, who was called to the Foreign Office the other day, Islamabad delivered its message. According to The News on Wednesday, the envoy was warned unequivocally that the Taliban government in Afghanistan must make sure that its territory is not exploited for terrorist purposes.
The mission was called in response to a recent spike in Fitna al-Khawarij terrorist activity. These terrorists are based in Afghanistan and are supported and funded by India’s Research and Analysis Wing, or RAW.
