KARACHI: After meeting the Minimum Eligibility Requirement (MER) at a three-star international eventing competition in Lignieres, France, Pakistani equestrian Usman Khan has secured a spot at the 2026 Asian Games.
Khan completed the CCI3*-L event with a score of 32.9 penalties while riding Eden of the Veret, placing sixth overall in a strong field of 59 riders.
In addition, he was the top-ranked Asian rider at the event, with France’s Camille Lejeune taking second place.
Khan’s qualifying for the Asian Games, where all athletes must meet MER criteria in compliance with the regulations of the International Federation for Equestrian Sports, was verified by the outcome.
