The sensitive personal information of Pakistani people is still for sale online, even after the Interior Minister took note of the problem.
Concerns have been raised about the delay as the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has not finished its investigation in the allotted period.
Delays in the investigation report
Sources claim that the NCCIA investigation team had 14 days to finish its findings and provide the report to the Interior Ministry. To finish the report, the team has now asked for a three-week extension.
The committee’s mandate
The committee was charged with locating the people or organizations that were selling and leaking personal information, as well as the websites and mobile apps that were a part of the illicit activity.
