LAHORE: Mohsin Naqvi, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), stated that the nation’s honor was unaffected by the handshake dispute that broke out following the ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup 2025 match against bitter rivals India.
At Gaddafi Stadium, Naqvi, accompanied by former chairmen Ramiz Raja and Najam Sethi, informed reporters that match referee Andy Pycroft, who is located in Zimbabwe, has formally apologized to national captain Salman Ali Agha, the coach, and the team management for the issues brought up by the team.
“The match referee expressed regret to the team management and captain a little while ago. Additionally, we have formally asked the International Cricket Council (ICC) to look into the violations that took place during the match on September 14,” Naqvi stated.
