KARACHI: With the launch of Khudee, Pakistan’s first café run entirely by employees with disabilities, the city has taken a significant step toward the empowerment of its workers while also establishing a new benchmark for workplace inclusivity.
According to a release, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah opened the unique café on Saturday. The Karachi Vocational Training Centre (KVTC) was responsible for its conception and launch.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Sindh CM stated, “KVTC has long been offering hope and empowerment to the differently-abled community, focusing on providing invaluable vocational training programs.”
“KVTC has given students real-world experience and prepared them for the demands of the workplace with programs like the ones we see today, especially in culinary arts.”
