Following a similar pattern in the global market, the price of gold saw a decrease in Pakistan on Thursday following a brief increase in the previous trading session.
The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) released data showing that the price of gold per tola decreased by Rs300, ending at Rs257,400.
A decrease of Rs256 brought the price of ten grams of gold down to Rs220,680. This decrease follows a notable hike of Rs 1,200 per tola on Tuesday.
Notably, the Independence Day holiday kept the gold market closed on Wednesday, which contributed to the rate swings.
The price of gold was likewise on the decline globally.
