The State Bank of Pakistan said Monday that remittances from Pakistanis living abroad totaled $3.1 billion in August 2025.
Inflows decreased by 1% month over month, but increasing by 7% over the previous year, indicating erratic patterns in the nation’s foreign income support.
According to the State Bank, remittances to Pakistan totaled $6.4 billion in the first two months of the current fiscal year. Compared to the $5.9 billion received over the same time last year, this is a significant improvement.
On a monthly basis, however, the data revealed a minor decrease, with inflows falling by 1% from July 2025.
