DUBAI: If the bitter rivals face each other again, Pakistan’s pace leader Shaheen Shah Afridi has stated that his team will go to the Asia Cup final and defeat India.
In a Super Four match in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by five wickets to extend their campaign.
Although the neighbors have faced off twice in this regional competition, India and Pakistan have never faced off in an Asia Cup final.
This is the 17th edition of the regional event, which began in 1984 and is being played in the United Arab Emirates using the Twenty20 format.
The great rivals competing in Sunday’s final in Dubai are obstructed by Bangladesh, who play India on Wednesday and Pakistan on Thursday.
