PESHAWAR: Opening batsman Mohammad Rizwan acknowledged his flaws and claimed on Tuesday that Pakistan’s cricket team deserved to be criticized for their poor performance in the T20 World Cup 2024.
“We deserve to be criticized after the subpar show. Speaking to the media in Peshawar, the right-handed batter stated, “Those who cannot face the flak, cannot succeed.”
He claimed that a team’s loss could not be attributed to a single factor. He argued that Pakistan’s early elimination from the tournament was caused by a number of “weaknesses.”
Notably, Pakistan lost to the US minnows in the T20 World Cup, which garnered condemnation from cricketers, fans, and commentators alike. Pakistan also withdrew from the tournament at the group stage.
