Showrunner Dan Schneider of Nickelodeon has come under fire for a few statements he made in the recently released documentary “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.”
Although the show is over, there was a bonus episode that aired on Sunday night in which network alumni discussed what they thought had happened since the launch. In one scene, two performers attacked Schneider for his alleged lack of sincerity in his apologies on the stage.
Early in the new millennium, “All That,” a sketch comedy program on the children’s network, had appearances by both Giovonnie Samuels and Bryan Hearne. They both started giggling when they saw a clip of Schneider’s apologies from a previous edition of “Quiet on Set.”
Past Nickelodeon kids criticize Dan Schneider for his phony apology: “A really good performance.”.
