On Friday, Pakistan, captained by the renowned batsman Babar Azam, unveiled their squad for the ICC World Cup in 2024.
Prominent players like Mohammad Rizwan, Fakhar Zaman, Naseem Shah, and Shaheen Afridi are on the team. The United States and the West Indies will host the World Cup startingtheon June 1.
In a T20 World Cup, new players Saim Ayub, Abrar Ahmed, Usman Khan, Azam Khan, and Abbas Afridi will make their debuts. Following their final participation in 2016 and 2021, respectively, Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim are expected to return to the competition.
The World Cup squad’s reserve players were not mentioned in the announcement.
