The ride broke down and police were called to Skegness Pleasure Beach.
Local reports stated that some 25 individuals were thought to be stuck on the Super Trooper ride.
Approximately at six o’clock in the evening, Lincolnshire Police reported that they were “responding to an incident at Skegness Pleasure Beach where a ride has malfunctioned and is still suspended in the air, trapping a number of people.”
They also sent an update at about 8:00 p.m., stating that “everyone has been safely rescued and there are no serious injuries.”
The cops said, “Thank you for your patience while we worked through the incident.”
In order to allow emergency services to “work together to ensure the safety of the people on the ride whilst they are being rescued,” officers had earlier requested the public to avoid the area.
The park called the attraction a “high octane white-knuckle family ride” on social media.
Skegness Pleasure Beach has not yet responded.
