After an exciting week of international cricket with outstanding performances, the most recent ICC rankings have revealed notable upward movements for cricketers from Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Afghanistan’s historic triumph in the ODI series against South Africa has vaulted a few of its players into the top ranks. Rahmanullah Gurbaz, a teenage sensation, has gained notoriety among them by becoming the first player to reach seven ODI hundreds before turning twenty-three.
His outstanding performance has propelled him up to the eighth position, beating Ibrahim Zadran’s previous best of twelfth, and making him the first Afghan player to crack the top ten in the ICC Men’s ODI Batting Ranking. At the moment, Gurbaz has a 692 point rating.
