On Wednesday, Dr. Mark Chavez entered a plea in a Los Angeles court.
The 54-year-old may spend up to ten years behind bars.
On October 28, of last year, Perry’s live-in helper Kenneth Iwamasa discovered him dead at his Los Angeles home.
Ketamine was later determined to be the main cause of death by a medical examiner.
According to court records, the 54-year-old actor was taking the medication six to eight times a day when he passed away.
Following the former president’s initial court appearance in August, Chavez’s attorney, Matthew Binninger, stated that his client is “incredibly remorseful” and is “trying to do everything in his power to right the wrong that happened here”.
Chavez is among the five individuals who have been charged in relation to Perry’s demise.
The remaining four are Iwamasa, an actor Eric Fleming’s acquaintance; Salvador Plasencia, also known as “Dr P”; and Jasveen Sangha, who was dubbed the “Ketamine Queen” in official records.
