According to journalist Shama Junejo, who is best known on social media, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif personally assigned her the responsibility of writing his address for the UNGA and officially included her in his delegation.
The claim, which was made in a statement on X, coincides with political controversy surrounding her participation in the well-publicized trip to New York.
Working with the prime minister for “several months,” Junejo said, she has provided strategic views and policy briefs “during the recent Pak-India war and beyond.”
She added, “It was the Prime Minister himself who tasked me with preparing his UN General Assembly speech.”
